Who Am I
Born in 1997, Will Spinnenweber is a freelance organist and composer serving in the Greater Pittsburgh area. He holds an MMus from the prestigious Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, and has conducted graduate studies in sacred music at Saint Patrick’s Seminary and University in Menlo Park, California.
As an organist, Will has performed concerts and recitals in Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania. In these concerts he has sought to incorporate repertoire which reflects his most cherished principles of faith, ranging from Early Baroque, such Girolamo Frescobaldi and Dietrich Buxtehude, to the contemporary, especially the works of Olivier Messiaen, his favorite composer.
Will’s interest in composing began during his undergraduate years, and since 2021, with the help of award winning composer Luke Mayernik, has emerged and discovered his own voice as a composer of sacred choral and organ music. He has also studied improvisation with Dr. Jeffrey Smith and Dr. Richard Fitzgerald.
